Florida

Image
This weekend i went to florida to visit some of my friends.  I did not take too many pictures but here are a few of my favorite ones i took over the weekend.  The first two pictures were taken on the campus of Florida Atlantic University and the other three were taken in the art district of Miami, aka Wynwood. THAT PLACE IS INCREDIBLE!!  The graffiti walls their are insane, so many talented artists all in one place.

Sunset

Image
While shooting for an assignment for Digital One, i captured this image of a boy watching the sunset.  The assignment for my class was to capture a decisive moment and Take "street photography" photos.  Just photos of random people at the perfect moment.  I went to the beach at sunset because i figured there would at least a few people there, i was right.  I was farther away down the beach but had a zoom lens and saw the perfect shot.  I got down on the sand, aligned the shot just right and angled the camera so that you can't see the horizon.  Below is one of the shots i took before i angled it, you can see some water at the bottom, but i thought it would look cooler if you didn't see anything so i shot it a little bit higher up.  I also used the spot removal tool in lightroom to get rid of the other people in the pic, i think the image is stronger when their is just one person.

Light

Image
This Week me and my friends played around with light!  First we messed around with long exposures and colors at my house.  I put the flash on so that the people would freeze in the picture but you could still see movement in the background.  Than last night it was super foggy out and about 2am and me and my friends decided to get some fog pictures.  We utilized a long exposure  so you could see the ray of light from the flashlight reflect off the fog.

October

This week I explored the abandoned psychiatric center buildings in kings park with my friend cam and captured some scary images because halloween is coming up in a few weeks.  Its amazing how cool buildings can look when no-one takes care of them for years.

Beginning

Image
Today me and My friend Cam Went out with some lights and a jar at sunset and messed around just to see what we could come up with.  We both had ideas for awhile but never really put it together until today and the results are way better than what i expected or hoped for.  We also had some powdered paint to play with too.  It was very fun because we had no idea what we were doing, we just sort of winged it and heres a sample of what we came up with.
